When should kids start algebra?+

Pre-algebra concepts can start as early as Grade 4–5. Kids are naturally ready to work with unknowns once they understand basic arithmetic well. Formal algebra usually comes in Grade 6–7. The earlier a child sees an "unknown" as something to solve rather than something to fear, the better.

Can online algebra classes work?+

My child failed algebra. Is it too late?+

No. Algebra failure is almost always an arithmetic problem wearing a different hat. Rebuild the foundation — place value, fractions, order of operations — and algebra often clicks within weeks. Failing once doesn't mean they can't do it.

Are live online algebra classes better than self-paced for my kid?+
