Bhanzu Batch Pause Policy
Overview
The Batch Pause facility allows eligible students to temporarily suspend their scheduled classes for a limited period while retaining access to their ongoing learning program.
This policy is designed to provide students with flexibility and convenience, while prioritising learning continuity. As a result, batch pauses are permitted only within the limits described in this document.
Eligibility
Program-Specific Eligibility
Eligibility for Batch Pause is determined by the specific enrolled program and current session stage.
Batch Pause is available only for programs with more than 30 sessions. However, a batch pause facility is not available for the Math Superstar program.
For every 75 sessions in the program, a single pause of up to 30 days is permissible.
Recurring Payment (RP) Plan Eligibility
Students on a Recurring Payment (RP) plan are eligible for a Batch Pause provided that:
- All payments are current with no outstanding dues
- Recurring payments continue uninterrupted during the pause period
Eligibility Across BCE and CE Models
Students enrolled under both Before Credit Era (BCE) and Credit Era (CE) models are eligible for the Batch Pause facility, subject to applicable program rules as detailed in this Policy.
However, kindly note that using the pause feature requires mandatory migration to Credit Era as credit counting and consumption tracking are necessary in order to ensure learning continuity.
Duration and Limitations
- Maximum pause duration: 30 calendar days
- Batch reallocation: However, Bhanzu team may require up to 15 additional days to find a new batch for your child
- Pause periods cannot be split or divided. Partial pauses (e.g., 10 days now and 20 days later) are not permitted.
- A Batch Pause applies across all active courses within the subscribed program. Students may not request separate pause periods for individual courses.
Pause Scenarios
Short Pause (≤15 days):
Bhanzu discourages short pauses as the Batch Pause facility is designed for longer absences.
However, in case the student avails a short pause (≤15 days), the student will continue in the same batch.
- Student is expected to watch the session recordings to catch up
- However, if the teacher deems it necessary, catch-up sessions will be provided and free credits will be added which will be reflected on the Student Dashboard.
Long Pause (>15 days):
- Student will be removed from the current batch and at the time of resumption, will be mapped to a batch running at or around the session when the batch pause was availed.
- Kindly note that the same teacher or batch day and time are not guaranteed and will more likely change.
- 2-3 catch-up sessions may be provided, if considered necessary.
- Bhanzu Customer Support team will contact the parent or guardian a few days before the resumption date with the new batch details and coordinate on batch reallocation and onboarding.
- Credit consumption begins once the student is assigned to a new batch.
